Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indices showed a mixed performance till Sunday’s mid-session.
AT 11:40am Cairo time, the main index slipped by 0.74% to 6,728 points.
CIB, EFG-Hermes, Palm Hills and TMG stocks fell by 1.93%, 0.61%, 1.3% and 1.23% respectively.
Pioneers stock rose by 1.94% to EGP 6.83, upon trading 554,000 shares at turnover reaching EGP 3.8 million. The stock was buoyed by the company’s buyout offer for Universal shares.
The equal weighted index EGX50 declined by 0.42% to 1,135 points, while EGX70 rose by 0.39% to 364 points. The broader index EGX100 inched lower by 0.17% to 769 points.
Turnover amounted to EGP 75.5 million, while traded volume reached 53 million shares.
Foreign and Arab traders were net sellers by EGP 74.4 million and EGP 1.5 million in a row, while nationals were net buyers by EGP 75.9 million.
