Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange opened Thursday's trading activity on a mixed note by 10:40am Cairo time.
The main index EGX30 was lower 0.34%, or 27.6 points, to reach 8,130 points.
Meanwhile, the small and mid-cap index EGX70 inched up 0.10% to the mark of 357.8 points.
The broader index EGX100 steadied at 807 points, while the equal-weighted index EGX50 edged down 0.3% to 1,376 points.
On the short-term, the outlook has become neutral for EGX30 and negative for EGX70, while both share a positive prospect on the mid-term trading, said market analyst Hesham Hassan.
Foreign investors were net sellers by EGP 2 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers by EGP 322,000 and EGP 1.7 million, respectively.
Trading value reached EGP 25 million after 8 million shares were traded.
Yesterday, the benchmark gained 0.96% or 77 points, and closed at the level of 8,158.04 points.
