Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange started Monday on a mixed note.
The main index inched up 0.02% to 11,633.3 points by 10:37am Cairo time.
The small and mid-cap index lowered 0.18% to 466.77 points, while the broader index rose 0.12% to 1,096.46 points.
The equal-weighted index EGX50 inched down 0.07% to 1,899.5 points.
Trading value reached EGP 274.3 million after 117.25 million shares were traded by 10:38am Cairo time.
Egyptians were net sellers by EGP 16.1 million, while foreigners and Arabs are net buyers by EGP 12.6 million and EGP 3.5 million, respectively.
The largest EGX30 constituent CIB was down 0.34% to EGP 41.7 with a trading value of EGP 41.7 million.
MubasherTrade Research said the index closed Sunday near the 11,687 area and is still trying to hold above the resistance 11,687.
“Breaking above this level will lead to further rise towards 12,000”, the research agency added.
