EGX indices open Wednesday mixed

Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Wednesday’s session on a mixed note, amid a purchasing activity by foreign investors and sales by Egyptian and Arab traders.

By 10:05 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index grew 0.26% or 32 points to the level of 12,562.6 points, while the EGX70, EGX100, and EGX50 indices declined 0.02%, 0.09%, and 0.02% respectively.

The number of exchanged shares reached 42 million through the execution of 4,700 transactions, as turnover amounted to EGP 127 million.

Net sales by Egyptian and Arab investors were EGP 12.7 million and EGP 94,000, respectively, while net purchases by foreigners reached EGP 12.7 million.

Blue chip stock Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB) rose 0.85% to EGP 74.7.

Delta Construction, Elsaeed Contracting, Edita Food, and Emaar Misr ascended between 1.7% and 0.7%.

On the other hand, Cairo Oils, SODIC, Domty, Orascom Telecom, and AMOC fell between 19% and 1.4%.
