Cairo – Mubasher: EGX indices initiated Monday’s trading session on a stronger note backed by Egyptians’ buying tendency.
By 10:35am Cairo time, the main index EGX30 rose by 0.04% to 7375.89 points.
The small and mid-cap EGX70 opened 0.12% higher to the mark of 368.84 points.
The broader index EGX100 moved up by 0.16% to 775.63 points.
The equal-weighted index EGX50 was 0.16% up to the mark of 1382.34 points.
With 36.72 million shares changing hands, the bourse registered a turnover of EGP 69.77 million in 2,886 transactions.
Nationals were net buyers by EGP 1.38 million, while Arab and Foreigners were net sellers by EGP 1.05 million and EGP 336,420 respectively.
The top gainers were led by Samad Misr with a rise of 3.62%, while the top losers were headed by Modern Waterproofing with a slide of 6.90%.
Mona Hassan, Chief technical analyst at Mubasher expected Cairo bourse to reach appealing support levels to buying powers and to finish the session at 7,373 points.
