By 10:30am Cairo time, the benchmark declined by 0.52% to 7,581.92 points on the downturn of CIB, Orascom Telecom, Pioneers, Palm Hills, and Citadel Capital.
CIB, the largest EGX30 constituents, registered the highest turnover with EGP17.095 million.
The equal-weighted index EGX50 opened 0.47% lower to 1,404.87 points.
The small and mid-cap index EGX70 fell slipped 0.57% to 366.99 points.
The broader index EGX100 fell by 0.35% to 778.79 points.
Trading value reached EGP51.322 million after 19.82 million shares were traded in 2,279 transactions.
Nationals and foreign investors were net buyers by EGP208.703 million and EGP521,889 respectively, while Arab investors were net sellers by EGP730,592 by 10:30am Cairo time.
Yesterday, EGX benchmark index declined 0.32%, or 24.11 points, to 7,621.91 points at the closing of Tuesday’s session, pressured by Egyptians’ selling.
