EGX indices open mixed Thursday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Thursday’s session on a mixed note, amid sales by foreign investors.

By 10:04 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 shed 0.47% or 64.68 points to the level of 13,732.57 points.

The EGX70 went up 0.74% to 706.07 points, while The EGX100 rose 0.46% to 1,607.0 points. The EGX50 inched up 0.04% to the level of 2,121 points.

Trading volume reached 82.7 million shares exchanged at EGP 121.6 million through 3,500 transactions.

Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 23.6 million, while Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers with EGP 18.6 million and 5.02 million, respectively.

Commercial International Bank – Egypt's (CIB) stock dropped 1.35% to EGP 85.8, after a turnover of EGP 2.8 million.

Juhayna and Credit Agricole – Egypt's stocks declined 1.89% and 1.78%, respectively.

On the other hand, Porto Group Holding, Elsewedy Electric, and Citadel Capital levelled up 2.56%, 0.46%, and 0.94%, respectively.
