EGX indices open on higher note

Cairo – Mubasher: EGX indices kicked off Wednesday’s trading session on a stronger note collectively, maintaining yesterday’s gains.

By 10:25am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 rose by 1.35% to 7,993 points.

The largest EGX30 constituent was 2.7% higher to EGP46.30 at open.

Likewise, the equal-weighted EGX50, the small and mid-cap EGX, and the broader index EGX100 opened the session higher by 1%, 0.21%, and 0.02% respectively.

Trading value reached EGP59.3 million after 17.3 million shares were traded.

Nationals and foreign investors were net buyers by EGP1 million and EGP9.3 million respectively, while Arab investors were net sellers by EGP10.4 million.

On Tuesday, the benchmark closed 1.85% higher, backed by the rise of CIB near a record level.
