EGX indices open on negative note

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange's (EGX) indices kicked off Sunday’s session on negative note, as the benchmark index EGX30 lost 0.32% or 24 points to reach the level of 7,558 points.

By 10:50am Cairo time, the small and mid-caps index EGX70 inched down 0.11% to the level of 359 points. Following suit both the broader index EGX100 and the equal weighted index EGX50 slipped 0.22% to the levels of 767 points and 1.384 points respectively.

The heavy-weight Commercial International Bank (CIB) went down 0.5%.

Local investors were buyers with around EGP 1.2 million, while Arab and foreign investors were sellers with EGP 790,400 and 373,800 respectively.

The market witnessed 30.6 million shares change hands worth EGP 55.2 million.
