EGX indices see negative week; market cap loses EGP 5.8bn

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indices went down in the second week in April.

Market capitalisation lost EGP 5.8 billion and closed at EGP 824.3 billion over the week.

The benchmark EGX30 index shed 0.9% to 15,105 points, while the heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) levelled up 0.63% to EGP 74.5, with a turnover of EGP 476.5 million.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index levelled down 1.3% to 666.2 points and the broader EGX100 index retreated 1.3% to 1,707 points.
