Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has seen a positive trend early Tuesday on the back of purchases by local and Arab investors.
By 10:23 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index added 93.92 points, or 0.65%, to 14,459.98 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index inched up 0.05% to 686.49 points, while the broader EGX100 index went up 0.18% to 1,735.19 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index levelled up 0.94% to 2,330 points.
Trading volume amounted to 35.9 million shares exchanged through 3,300 transactions at a turnover of EGP 119.3 million.
Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 4.55 million, whereas Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 2.007 million and 2.54 million, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) has not seen any trading yet.
