EGX loses 82 points at opening

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indices dipped 1.4% or 82 points to 5,695 points at Thursday’s opening, dragged by blue-chip stocks mainly the market’s heaviest weight CIB that fell 1.4% to EGP30. Talaat Moustafa Group also slipped by 3% to EGP5.16.

Both EGX70 and EGX100 dwindled 0.22% to 342.6 points and 0.5% to 688 points respectively.

Trading value stood at EGP108.1 million. 17 shares dropped and 19 others remained flat.

While Arab and foreign investors were net seller by EGP5.6 million and EGP9.3 million respectively, Egyptian investors were net buyers by EGP14.9 million.

Analysts expect that this stocks’ downward to be continued, although there are domestic incentives post Wednesday’s steep decline.
