EGX loses EGP 5.3bn in market cap at Sunday's close

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday’s trading session on a negative note with the main EGX30 index falling by 0.18% to 11,214 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index dropped by 0.41% to 1,841, while the EGX100 index retreated by 0.7% to 2,728 points.

Likewise, the EGX50 index declined by 1.17% to close 1,989 points.

The market cap value lost EGP 5.3 billion to register EGP 622.017 billion.

Local investors were net buyers with EGP 81.4 million, while foreign and local investors were net sellers with EGP 74.1 million and EGP 7.3 million, respectively.

The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.01 billion after 319.9 million shares were traded through nearly 38,290 transactions.
