EGX main gauge erases early losses by mid-session

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange main index reversed its early declines on Tuesday, as it rose 0.51% to reach 7,017.72 points by mid-session, backed by Arab buying.

The equal weighted index also gained 0.82% to 1,198.25 points, while EGX70 rose by 1.31% to 381.44 points and the broader index EGX100 advanced by 0.79% to 789.39 points.

Traded volume amounted to 81.6 million shares exchanged in 9,410 transactions at turnover reaching EGP 208.15 million.

National Cement, AMOC and HADISOLB were the top performing stocks, while Misr Oils, International Company for Investment and Wadi Kom Ombo were the worst performers.

National and foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 5.7 million and EGP 6.51 million in a row, while Arab traders were net buyers by EGP 12.4 million.
