EGX market cap loses EGP45m after OCI delisting

Cairo Mubasher: Orascom Construction Industries (OCI) has started trading over the counter today after EGX Listing Committe approved its voluntary delisting from Cairo bourse.

After delisting, EGX market capitalization declined to EGP403.5 billion from EGP448.9 billion.

OCI had the heaviest relative weight on EGX30 with 26%, representing EGP45.4 billion of the total market value.

In January 2016, OCI shareholders nods to the board’s proposal to delist the company’s 208.9 million shares from Cairo bourse.

The company operates with a paid-in capital of EGP1.044 billion, distributed over 208.9 million shares at EGP5 par value each. 

The last closing quote of OCI stock stood at EGP217.
