Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Monday’s in red, pressured by local selling.
By 10:28am Cairo time, the EGX30 index declined 0.48% or 62.8 points to the level of 13,098.65 points, the EGX70 index fell 0.10% to 481.61 points and the EGX100 index shrank 0.25% to 1,181.38 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index retreated 0.40% to the level of 1,991.30 points.
During this time, 48 stocks rose, 16 declined and 27 others were flat.
Net sales by local investors reached EGP 5.06 million, while net purchases by Arab and foreign investors reached EGP 3.68 million and EGP 1.37 million.
Ezz Steel topped losers after falling 3.18%, whereas Eastern Company led gainers after adding 9.13%.
