EGX opens Monday in green with 1st trade of CI Capital

Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Monday’s trading session up as trading on CI Capital Holding’s stock started.

By 10:34 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index inched up 7.09 points, or 0.04%, to 18,311.55 points.

CI Capital Holding’s stock climbed by 21.43% during the first minutes of its first trading session on the EGX.

The EGX70 index added 0.68% to 878.98 points, while the EGX100 index edged up 0.46% to 2,305 points.

Trading volume reached nearly 69.6 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 316.5 million through 5,400 transactions.

Egyptian investors were net sellers with EGP 79.1 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 56.9 million and EGP 22.15 million, respectively.

It has not been traded on the heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) yet.
