Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Monday’s trading session up on the back of local buying.
By 10:18 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index edged up 35.18 points, or 0.20%, to 17,624.04 points.
The EGX70 index added 0.14% to 865.54 points, while the EGX100 index inched up 0.09% to 2,257 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index levelled up 0.3% to 2,992 points.
Trading volume on stocks reached around 28.6 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 74.12 million through 1,800 transactions.
Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 7.7 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 147,500 and EGP 7.9 million.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) went up 0.06% to EGP 87.01, with a turnover of EGP 2.6 million.
