Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Monday’s trading session up on the back of blue-chip stocks.
By 10:11 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index inched up 0.07%, to 16,406.10 points.
The EGX70 index added 0.43% to 816 points, while the EGX100 index edged up 0.26% to 2,070 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index levelled up 0.17% to 2,787 points.
Trading volume on stocks amounted to around 7.5 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 37.5 million through 859 transactions.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) went up 0.01% to EGP 86, with a turnover of EGP 4.3 million.
