Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Monday, the first trading session in July 2018, up on the back of foreign and Arab buying.
By 10:30 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index edged up 0.4%, to 16,414.43 points.
The EGX70 index added 0.22% to 806 points, while the EGX100 index went up 0.38% to 2,069 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index levelled up 0.11% to 2,739 points.
Trading volume amounted to around 15.9 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 59.5 million through 1,100 transactions.
Egyptian investors were net sellers with EGP 1.6 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 1.3 million and EGP 336,080, respectively.
