Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) rose marginally early Monday, the last trading session of 2018.
By 10:12 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index edged up 34.91 points, or 0.36%, to 12,979 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index inched up 0.03% to 676.49 points, while the broader EGX100 index added 0.06% o 1,690.98 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index levelled up 0.43% to 2,141 points.
Trading volume amounted to nearly 5.2 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 26.24 million through 881 transactions.
Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 3.7 million, whereas Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 3.6 million and EGP 107,080, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) went up 0.8% to EGP 74.
