Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Monday’s trading session in green territory on the back of Arab and foreign purchases.
The benchmark EGX30 index opened the session 0.72% up at 13,916.07 points, gaining 685.98 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index levelled up 0.23% to 685.98 points, while the broader EGX100 index edged up 0.25% to 1,728.71 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index added 1.02% to 2,237.92 points.
Trading volume amounted to 56.93 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 288.42 million through 3,400 transactions.
Egyptian investors were net sellers with EGP 73.54, while Arab and foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 3.99 million and EGP 69.55 million, respectively.
