Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Monday’s trading session on a mixed note.
By 10:27 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index dipped 5.29 points, or 0.04%, to 14,814.36 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index edged up 0.03% to 716.82 points, while the broader EGX100 index inched up 0.01% to 1,805 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index slipped 0.27% to 2,397 points.
Meanwhile, trading volume amounted to around 20.6 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 85.8 million through 2,070 transactions.
Foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 1.3 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 1.1 million and EGP 220,900, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) slid 0.04% to EGP 71.01, with a turnover of EGP 791,700.
