Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) saw a positive performance early Monday on the back of Arab and foreign investors’ buying.
By 10:17 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index inched up 0.03% or 4.8 points to 14,795.58 points.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) shed 0.58% to EGP 74.8.
Meanwhile, trading volume stood at 13.13 million shares exchange at EGP 18.13 million through 905 transactions.
The small- and medium-caps EGX70 index gained 0.34% to 820.92 points and the broader EGX100 index edged up 0.21% to 1,940.47 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index added 0.02% to 2,548 points.
Egyptian traders were mostly sellers, netting EGP 899,300, while foreign and Arab traders were net buyers with EGP 653,000 and EGP 246,200, respectively.
