Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Monday’s trading session on a mixed noted early amid foreign and Arab selling.
By 10:32 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index slipped 0.25% or 35.81 points to the level of 13,870.31 points.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB) shed 0.35% to EGP 77.70.
The EGX70 index fell 0.58% to 825.56 points, while the EGX100 index tumbled 0.36% to 1,824.86 points.
The equal-weight EGX50 index inched down 0.05% to 2,412 points.
Trading volume reached 55.6 million shares exchange at a turnover of EGP 177.48 million through 5,200 transactions.
Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 3.3 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 2.9 million and EGP 707,370, respectively.
