EGX opens Monday on mixed note

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Monday’s trading session on a mixed note.

By 10:25 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index dipped 20.94 points, or 0.13%, to 16,121.8 points.

The EGX70 index inched up 0.09% to 801.46 points, while the EGX100 index slipped 0.24% to 2,052 points.

The equal-weighted EGX50 index edged up 0.18% to 2,700 points.

Trading volume on stocks reached around 8.11 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 52.12 million through 1,500 transactions.

Foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 2.5 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 694,900 and EGP 31.5 million, respectively.

The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) rose 0.44% to EGP 85.9.
