Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Monday’s trading session on a mixed note.
By 10:20 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index slipped 0.13% to 15,716.20 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index inched up 0.04% to 748.92 points, while the broader EGX100 index remained stable at 1,942.96 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index levelled up 0.06% to 2,592.87 points.
Trading volume amounted to 9.2 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 47.7 million through 1,400 transactions.
Egyptian and Arab investors were mostly sellers, netting EGP 6.6 million and EGP 3.4 million, respectively, while foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 10 million.
