EGX opens Monday on mixed note

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Monday’s trading session on a mixed note.

By 10:17 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index slipped 24.38 points, or 0.18%, to 13,501.4 points.

The EGX70 index added 0.05% to 688.7 points, while the EGX100 index edged up 0.04% to 1,729.94 points.

The equal-weighted EGX50 index shed 0.16% to 2,216 points.

Trading volume on stocks reached around 8.2 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 28.9 million through 1,160 transactions.

Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 218,900, while Foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 69,800 and EGP 149,060, respectively.

The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) slid 0.16% to EGP 76.
