Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Monday’s trading session on a mixed note.
By 10:25 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index shed 32.55 points, or 0.49%, to 13,921.06 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index added 0.10% to 715.51 points, while the broader EGX100 index inched up 0.06% to 1,804 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index slipped 0.15% to 2,444 points.
Trading volume on stocks reached around 20 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 85.10 million through 2,990 transactions.
Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 8.4 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 7.68 million and EGP 751,280, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) fell 1.42% to EGP 71.78, with a turnover of EGP 32 million.
