EGX opens Sunday higher amid Arab buying

Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange’s (EGX) benchmark EGX30 index edged up 0.39% or 51.69 points to the level of 13,464.94 points earlier on Sunday.

By 10:23 am Cairo time, the EGX70 went up 0.62% to 715.6 points, while the EGX100 added 0.54% to 1,615.25 points, and the EGX50 rose 0.76% to 2,097 points.

Trading volume amounted to 18.8 million shares exchanged at EGP 40.6 million through 1,700 transactions.

Arab investors were net buyers by EGP 1.67 million, while Egyptian and foreign investors were net sellers by EGP 432,700 and EGP 1.2 million, respectively.

Cairo Oils, Citadel Capital, and Pioneers Holding leveled up 4.15%, 2.7%, and 2.6%, respectively.

On the other hand, Egyptian Financial and Industrial Company (EFIC) and Arabian Food Industries (Domty) dropped 0.34% and 0.24%, respectively.

Commercial International Bank - Egypt (CIB) was not trading in Sunday's session.

The cumulative trend on the EGX’s indices may continue, amid traders’ anticipation of new inducements, analysts told Mubasher.
