Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Sunday’s trading session up on the back of local and Arab buying.
By 10:36 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index edged up 74.06 points, or 0.45%, to 16,488 points.
The EGX70 index inched up 0.2% to 844.37 points, while the EGX100 index added 0.28% to 2,144 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index went up 0.52% to 2,834 points.
The bourse's trading volume reached around 12.8 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 30.5 million through 1.04 transactions.
Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 5.7 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 4.8 and EGP 930,100, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) jumped 2.68% to EGP 86.5.
