Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) saw an upward trend early Sunday on the back of local and Arab buying.
By 10:23 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index rose marginally by 0.4% or 57.44 points to 14,639.66 points.
The EGX70 index edged up 0.38% to 798.45 points, while the EGX100 index added 0.46% to 1,860.75 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index went up 0.41% to 2,533 points.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) levelled up 0.74% to EGP 75.9.
Trading volume reached about 30.9 million shares exchanged through 2,600 transactions at a turnover of EGP 92.07 million.
Foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 1.24 million, while Egyptian and Arab traders were net buyers with EGP 1.2 million and EGP 36,900, respectively.
