Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Sunday up on the back of Arab and local buying.
By 10:28 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index edged up 52.37 points, or 0.29% to 17,885.23 points.
The EGX70 index inched up 0.08% to 879.4 points, and the EGX100 index added 0.12% to 2,295 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index went up 0.48% to 3,040 points.
Trading volume stood at around 22.6 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 60.7 million through 2,300 transactions.
Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 1.6 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 1.18 million and EGP 518,600.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) tumbled 0.62% to EGP 92.5 with a turnover of EGP 206,300.
