Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) started Sunday’s trading session on a positive note, encouraged by local buying.
By 10:30 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index rose 0.50% to 16,205.67 points.
The EGX70 index inched up 0.06% to 800.73 points, while the EGX100 index added 0.11% to 2,036.81 points.
The EGX50 index edged up 0.57%, reaching 2,734.95 points.
Egyptian traders were net buyers with EGP 1.6 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 606,000 and EGP 1.03 million, respectively.
The bourse's trading volume reached 7.5 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 26.6 million through 1,020 transactions.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank’s-Egypt (CIB) stock inched up 0.75% to EGP 85.45, with a liquidity of EGP 54,500.
The stocks of Pioneers Holding Company for Financial Investment, Elsewedy Electric, and Telecom Egypt (TE) gained 3.85%, 3.29%, and 2.69%, respectively.
On the other hand, Palm Hills Development and Egypt Aluminum stocks fell 0.47% and 0.02%, respectively.
