Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) saw an upward trend early Sunday on the back of Arab investors’ buying.
By 10:20 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index went up 0.19% or 26.33 points to the level of 14,132.50 points.
The EGX70 index inched up 0.1% to 772.7 points, while the EGX100 index added 0.24% to 1,790.32 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index edged up 0.08% to 2,467 points.
Trading volume reached 11.4 million shares exchanged through 1,700 transactions at a turnover of EGP 43.6 million.
Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 1.6 million, while foreign and Egyptian investors were net sellers with EGP 900,000 and EGP 750,200, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) shed 0.35% to EGP 73.35.
