Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has seen a slight rise early Sunday, backed by local purchases.
By 10:18 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index inched up 5.01 points, or 0.03%, to 15,252 points.
The small- and mid-cap remained stable at 678.09 points, while the broader EGX100 index was stable as well at 1,730.53 points.
Moreover, the equal-weighted EGX50 index added 0.16% to 2,419 points.
Meanwhile, trading volume amounted to around 4.48 million shares exchanged through 739 transactions at a turnover of EGP 16.5 million.
Egyptian traders were net buyers with 653,600, whereas foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with 499,500 and EGP 154,070, respectively.
On the other hand, the heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) dipped 0.04% to EGP 74.
