Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Sunday’s trading session on a mixed note.
By 10:35 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index shed 87.4 points, or 0.58%, to 15,059 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index inched up 0.02% to 717.3 points, while the broader EGX100 index dipped 0.05% to 1,810.6 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index tumbled 0.16% to 2,465.8 points.
Meanwhile, trading volume amounted to nearly 25 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 64.5 million through 2,300 transactions.
Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 1.5 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 1.2 million and EGP 340,000, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) fell 1.4% to EGP 73.1, with a turnover of EGP 4.2 million.
