Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) saw a positive performance early Thursday on the back of foreign buying.
By 10:18 am Cairo time, the benchmark EX30 index opened up 0.53% or 73.81 points to the level of 13,889.65 points.
The heavyweight Commercial International – Egypt (CIB) rose 0.57% to EGP 77.57.
The EGX70 index edged up 0.76% to 813.72 points, while the EGX100 index grew 0.6% to 1,803.66 points.
The equal-weight EGX50 index inched up 0.02% to 2,396 points.
Trading volume reached 41.16 million shares exchange through 2,600 transactions at a turnover of EGP 87.39 million.
Foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 1.7 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 1.07 million and EGP 635,800, respectively.
