Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange’s (EGX) indices rose collectively early Thursday on the back of local and Arab buying.
By 10:16 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index edged up 0.2% or 27.95 points to the level of 14,305.24 points.
The EGX70 index rose 0.86% to 788.43 points, while the EGX100 index levelled up 0.63% to 1,775.88 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index added 0.45% to 2,534 points.
Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 4.8 million, whereas Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 839,300 and EGP 4.03 million, respectively.
Trading volume reached 25.5 million shares exchanged through 2,200 transactions at a turnover of EGP 67.7 million.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) gained 0.38% to EGP 79.
