Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) started Thursday’s trading session on a mixed note.
By 10:25 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index slipped 0.20% to 15,155 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index rose 1.7% to 736.46 points, while the broader EGX100 index fell 1% or 1,897.47 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index shed 0.28% to 2,553 points.
Trading volume amounted to around 1.5 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 13.7 million through 354 transactions.
Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 5.08 million, while Egyptian and foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 3.8 million and EGP 1.2 million, respectively.
