Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Thursday up on the back of local and non-Arab buying.
By 10:17 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index inched up 0.03%, or 4.45 points, to 15,041.50 points.
The EGX70 index added 0.17% to 855.55 points, while EGX70 index went up 0.10% to 2,040 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index edged up 0.17% to 2,657 points.
Trading volume reached 3.3 million exchanged at a turnover of EGP 19.5 million through 970 transactions.
Arab traders were net sellers with EGP 672,100, while foreign and Egyptian traders were net buyers with EGP 89,700 and 852,300, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) rose 1.07% to EGP 77.76 at a turnover of EGP 352,500.
