Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Thursday’s trading session mixed amid local and foreign buying.
By 10:25 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index edged up 68.44 points, or 0.4%, to 17,373 points.
The EGX70 index inched down 0.21% to 861.66 points, while the EGX100 index dipped 0.05% to 2,219 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index added 0.26% to 2,951 points.
Trading volume amounted to around 108.9 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 229.4 million through 4,800 transactions.
Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 4.8 million, while Egyptian and foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 3.6 million and EGP 1.15 million, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) went up 0.32% to AED 89.
