Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Tuesday’s trading session on a mixed note.
By 10:11 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index shed 17.13 points, or 0.11%, to 14,428 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index inched up 0.05% to 697.89 points, whereas the broader EGX100 index dipped 0.01% to 1,777 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index slipped 0.05% to 2,235 points.
Trading volume amounted to nearly 4.6 million shares exchanged through 461 transactions at a turnover of EGP 29.5 million.
Egyptian investors were net sellers with EGP 351,600, while foreign and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 97,300 and EGP 252,200, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) fell 0.14% to EGP 83.05 with a turnover of EGP 8.27 million.
