EGX opens Thursday on mixed note

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) started Thursday’s trading session on a mixed note.

By 10:26 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index slipped 50.10 points, or 0.38%, to 13,200 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index inched up 0.02% to 695.51 points, whereas the broader EGX100 index dipped 0.05% to 1,738.25 points.

The equal-weighted EGX50 index shed 0.44% to 2,096 points.

Trading volume amounted to nearly 15.12 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 79.3 million through 1.500 transactions.

Egyptian investors were net sellers with EGP 1.6 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 987,800 and EGP 656,700, respectively.
