Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Tuesday’s trades on a mixed note, with the benchmark index rising above the 15,800-point mark.
By 10:15 am Cairo time, the EGX30 index gained 0.20% to 15,818 points, while the small and medium-sized stocks EGX70 index added 0.28% to 777.59 points.
On the other hand, the broader EGX100 index slipped 0.04% to 1,976.65 points, whereas the EGX50 index increased 0.76% to 2,661 points.
Turnover amounted to EGP 10.38 million after 3.1 million shares changed hands through 185 transactions.
Egyptian investors were mostly sellers, netting EGP 2.1 million, while foreign and Arab investors were buyers, netting EGP 1.8 million and EGP 277,900, respectively.
