Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) started Tuesday’s trading session up on the back of local buying.
By 10:20 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index inched up 6.14 points, or 0.04%, to 16,787.05 points.
The EGX70 index added 0.17% to 861.84 points, while the EGX100 index went up 0.16% to 2,199 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index edged up 0.19% to 2,920 points.
Trading volume reached about 22.7 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 222.26 million through 1,600 transactions.
Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 4.06 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 1.6 million and EGP 2.37 million, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) levelled up 0.22% to EGP 84.5.
