Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange started Tuesday stronger as the main index added 79.7 points or 0.7% to reach 11,523.8 points by 10:26am Cairo local time.
The small and mid-cap index increased 0.5% to 451 points, while the broader index was 0.46% higher to 1,070 points.
Trading value reached EGP 156.5 million after 41.7 million shares were traded.
Heliopolis Housing was the most active stock in terms of value after registering EGP 26.4 million. The stock gained 3.01% to EGP 20.18 a share.
Ezz Steel moved up 7.06% to EGP 13.2 registering a turnover of EGP 24.6 million, thus hitting the highest mark in 52 weeks.
The largest EGX30 component was placed at EGP 68.4 a share with a 0.2% rise.
Arabs and foreigners were net buyers by EGP 9.4 million and EGP 4.1 million, while nationals were net sellers by EGP 13.5 million.
