Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange started the mid-week trading session in the green territory as the benchmark index EGX30 rose 0.8% or 103.8 points to 13,368.68 points on foreign purchases by 10:26 Cairo local time (CLT).
Likewise, the small and mid-cap index EGX70 stood 0.9% higher to 480.1 points.
The equal-weighted index EGX50 and the broader index EGX100 increased 0.8% and 0.5%, respectively.
Trading value reached EGP 197.8 million after 37.3 million shares were traded by 10:28am CLT.
Foreign investors were net buyers by EGP 90.3 million, while Egyptians and Arabs were net sellers by EGP 79.6 million and EGP 10.7 million, correspondingly.
EFG-Hermes was the most active stock in terms of value recording EGP 83.1 million after moving up 0.6% to EGP 27.96 by 10:29am CLT.
