Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Tuesday’s trading session in green on the back of local buying.
By 10:35 am, the benchmark EGX30 index edged up 40.72 points, or 0.29%, to 14,241.4 points.
The small- and mid-cap eGX70 index inched up 0.08% to 688.38 points, whereas the broader EGX100 index leveled up 0.1% to 1,753.16 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index went up 0.67% to 2,231 points.
Trading volume amounted to nearly 25.33 million shares exchanged through 2,400 transactions at a turnover of EGP 2,400 transactions.
Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 36.56 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 31.2 million and EGP 5.3 million, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) rose 0.24% to EGP 80.5, with a turnover of EGP 833,400.
