EGX opens Tuesday on mixed note

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange’s (EGX) benchmark EGX30 index slipped 0.12% or 16.49 points to the level of 13,644.31 points early on Tuesday.

By 10:26 am Cairo time, the EGX70 rose 0.48% to 718.02 points, while the EGX100 levelled up 0.32% to 1,617.62 points, and the EGX50 inched up 0.03% to 2,103 points.

Trading volume reached 70.8 million shares exchanged at EGP 85.018 million through 2,290 transactions.

Egyptian investors were net sellers by EGP 3.3 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net buyers by EGP 342,300 and EGP 2.9 million, respectively.

Egyptian Financial Group Hermes Holding (EFG Hermes), Orascom Telecom, and Heliopolis Company for Housing and Development dropped 1.83%, 1.41%, and 0.97%, respectively.

On the other hand, Porto Group Holding, Extracted Oils, and Telecom Egypt went up 5.13%, 1.37%, and 0.81%, respectively.

Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB) settled to EGP 85.5.
